Jim has been actively involved within the land business since 1978. He has worked oil and gas basins throughout the continental United States, with 12 years experience West of the Mississippi and 18 years East of the Mississippi. He was Vice President of the Chippewa Minerals Associates, Inc located in Denver, CO prior to establishing JBLS in 1994.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, a Master's of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan and an additional twenty (20) hours toward a second Master's Degree in Administration.
Jim is currently a National Director with the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) on the Legislative/Regulatory Committee, a past President and active member of the Northern Appalachia Landman's Association (NALA) and also a current active member of the Michael Late Benedum Chapter (MLBC).
